| From Newton Shore follow the road until it meets the main road. Turn right and follow main road through Lochranza. Pass the Youth Hostel and Castle. About 100 metres before the ferry slipway take the track to the left up a hill. After about a kilometre you reach one of the oldest houses in Arran, Coillemore. Shortly after, turn off right and follow yellow posts for two kilometres along the cliff top. Arrive above Catacol and head down the hill behind the houses. Cross the stile and reach the main road, heading south. This section is quite short, but care needs to be taken on the cliff top section. The first part of the cliff path is very wet, ideal for wellies! A simple alternative is to walk the main road from Lochranza to Catacol. | ![]() | |
