T
his section starts with an easy stroll along Fisherman’s Walk to Cladach, where there is a cluster of shops. Walkers then have the choice to take the coastalĀ route through Merkland Wood or alternatively climb to the summit of Goatfell (874m). From High Corrie to Sannox the route follows the coastal road, where there is plenty of wildlife to look out for.

Goatfell is recommended for fit walkers, competent at navigation, and not in bad weather or low cloud. There are no Coastal Way route markers once you enter the National Trust for Scotland land or on Goatfell itself.

Our friends at WalkHighlands provide route descriptions, maps and GPS waypoints – click here for Brodick to Sannox via Goatfell or Brodick to Sannox low level route.
