tarting with a hill top route between Lochranza and Catacol, this section encompasses a large stretch of walking on or beside the quiet main road. There is plenty of interest and the route passes through the lovely village of Pirnmill before heading away from the road and onto the shore for the final 3km. This whole section offers great views of Arran and across to the Kintyre pennisula. On a good day, walkers may like to detour (approx 5km) up to the beautiful Coire Fhionn Lochan, between Catacol and Pirnmill.
