A
rguably the best section of the Coastal Way, a lovely section of coastal footpath leads up to the Forestry and Land Scotland site at North Sannox. A forestry track continues to follow the coast until Fallen Rocks where a smaller footpath resumes. The path is generally good, but with some muddy and rocky sections. Recent footpath improvements have created a stepped path through the previously tricky An Scriodan boulder field so that is passable at all states of tide and easier in wet weather. However, please be aware minor scrambling is still required. Watch out for Dolphins and Basking Sharks! Beyond An Scriodan, the recently upgraded footpath continues to Newton Shore and finishes on tarmac as you walk into Lochranza.
